We've all been there - your prescription has changed, but your favourite glasses still look and feel perfect. Unfortunately, many opticians will tell you that your barely worn two-year-old frames might not survive new lenses. Reuse your own glasses and sunglasses, don't succumb to the throw away society.

If you'd like to fit new lenses into your own glasses, we can help. There's no need to buy new frames - our experienced glazing team can reglaze the most weird and wonderful frames. As long as your frame is in good condition, it's very rare for frames to break during the reglazing process. 

We charge a £10 reglazing fee (in addition to the lens price), which covers our expert fitting service. 

How to Get Your Glasses Reglazed

Before sending your frames, we recommend emailing us a photo of your glasses and your prescription. This helps us confirm that your frames are suitable for reglazing and let's us check if we need any additional measurements before you post them.

When you send your frames, please use a sturdy case to protect them during transit.

Yes! At Retrospecced, we can reglaze most frames safely. As long as your glasses or sunglasses are in good condition, it's very rare for frames to break during the process.

Q2: How much does reglazing cost?

We charge a £10 reglaze fee in addition to the cost of your lenses. This covers the expert fitting service and ensures your lenses are installed correctly. 

Q3: How do I send my frames for reglazing?

Before posting, email us a picture of your frames and prescription. You will then need to send them to us in a sturdy case to our PO Box address using Royal Mail. 

Q4: Can all types of lenses be fitted?

We can fit single vision, bifocal and varifocal lenses in most frames. If your frame requires additional measurements, we'll advise you before you post. 

Q5: Is reglazing sustainable?

Absolutely, and that is why we promote and encourage it. Reusing your exiting frames reduces waste and supports sustainable eyewear practices. You get new lenses without buying entirely new glasses. 

Q6: Can you reglaze sunglasses with non prescription lenses?

Yes we can also reglaze sunglasses lenses, so don't worry if you've scratched or damaged the lens, we can give them a new lease of life.
