Thanks to all of you lovely lot, we have raised enough money to provide the equivalent of 335 eye tests and pairs of glasses for people who need them, through our partner charity Vision Aid Overseas, in the last six months. Which is pretty wonderful!

We think it’s a pretty neat relationship. We help Vision Aid Overseas (‘VAO’) to upcycle the glasses that are donated to them, saving them from landfill and giving you lot a much more sustainable eyewear option, and our donations help VAO to provide vision care across Africa!

Here are some facts:

• $200 billion dollars’ worth of productivity is lost every year because so many people do not have the glasses they need to see properly to do their job
• 53,592 eye tests have been carried out through Vision Aid Overseas’ activities in the last 12 months
• 31,781 pairs of glasses have been prescribed through Vision Aid Overseas’ activities in the last 12 months

As a small social enterprise, we’re really proud of what we’ve achieved so far. Every frame we sell is upcycled, and by offering you the option to add any lenses you like to our frames, we are providing a viable, sustainable, alternative for your next pair of glasses. By making a donation to VAO each time we sell a frame, it’s a meaningful way to contribute to their mission of providing quality eye care for all.
