Dusting off my keyboard...

It’s March already! As I’m writing this I’m watching the snow fall out of my window – which is pretty remarkable for Cornwall! Apparently they haven’t had snow like this in well over a decade.

It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog post, I apologise from that; it’s crazy how time gets away from you! However I’m going to revive them from now on, so please do keep an eye out for new posts and hopefully I’ll write something occasionally entertaining and informative during my rambles. We’ve had a crazy few months here at Retrospecced, and we hugely appreciate the support you lot are giving us! Without such a wonderful bunch of customers and followers, we wouldn’t be where we are today – so please do keep spreading the word! The wonderful thing about Retrospecced that I did not envisage when we started up nearly a year ago is the fact that we seem to have our own little community of lovely people, who all believe in the same sustainable ideals! A little bit of upcycling here and there goes a long way, and I really do think that more and more people are waking up to the power that we have as consumers – every purchase we make is a chance to make a bit of a difference where we can. We donate 20% of what we sell each frame for to our partner charity, Vision Aid Overseas, and with your support we’ve donated over £1300 in the past few months – helping support their fantastic and necessary work providing eyecare across Africa. So, what’s new back over here? We now offer a ‘ready-reader’ option on all of our glasses, for just £15! So rather than have a ‘disposable’ pair that you keep on your desk or in your handbag, why not have a fabulous designer pair that are high quality and look rather swish?! We are also doing our first ever vintage fair next weekend! We will be in Oxford Town Hall at the Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair on Saturday 10^th March, so please do come along and say hi if you are nearby!
