Your Perfect Pair

Your Perfect Pair

So you’ve stumbled upon a great ethical and sustainable brand that upcycles, refurbishes and sells pre-worn glasses for a fabulous price (that’s us btw). Only problem is…which ones do you chose?

Fear not, we are here to help. One of the biggest factors in finding your perfect pair of specs is your face shape. Different face shapes suit different styles and sizes. So we have scoured the internet and compiled together the ultimate guide to choosing your perfect pair of glasses!

Oval

If you have an oval shaped head it means you have softly rounded forehead and chin. Lucky you! You seem to have hit the glasses jackpot – nearly all shapes and styles suit you as you’re features are evenly balanced. The only thing to keep in mind is the width of the frame; go for ones that are ever so slightly wider than your face.

Heart Shaped

You guys will be widest at the forehead, gradually tapering down towards the chin with soft features. To balance the wideness at the top half of your face, opt for frames that are bottom heavy, or go for rimless frames to let your natural face shape shine.

Round

Round faces tend to be fairly short, with a wider forehead, full cheeks, rounded chin and softer jawline. Rectangular and square shapes will elongate your face; where as round styles will enhance the roundness of your face.

Square

You’ll be in this category if your face width and length are proportionate, and you’ve got a broad forehead and a strong jaw. To create a little more length in the face and to offset your strong features go for an oval style. Alternatively opt for narrower styles that are still angular in shape to compliment your face.

Rectangle

Rectangular faces generally have a deeper forehead, longer nose, with a stronger jaw line. People with this face shape should opt for glasses with a strong brow line in a deep, square shape. Smaller and softer frames won’t make the most of your angular features.

Triangle

Triangle faces will be widest at the jaw, narrowing up to the forehead. You’ll want to add a little width to this narrower part of your face, so go for strong frames that are all one colour.

Whilst we have gathered the very best of the advice that we could find, also remember that ultimately you know which styles you like best, and there isn’t really any wrong way to pick your vintage and retro glasses. Happy Shopping!
